Hello Friends,

Spring came early in the South.

And with this, room refreshes and renovations are in full swing ahead of schedule. Four painters were here 3 full days a couple of weeks ago. I can’t tell you how happy I am to have this work done —and I’ll share more on this in later posts.

But today, let’s take a look at one of my favorite online spots for fresh and colorful decorating ideas.

How about this kitchen?

Love it or hate it, here’s the surprising take-home message. See the floor? It looks painted, but it’s not.

This is linoleum. Yep — LINOLEUM. Tough and durable –just like the old days except better —linoleum. To read more about the designer who creates colorful and chic, but very practical spaces for everyday living please click here.

Another designer who has quickly become a favorite is Fawn Galli. In her colorful New York home, she realized that renovating this staircase would cost a bundle. Her solution was to hide the flaws with color. What do you think? Love or hate? To see the entire article, please click here.

Moving forward, we will contine to consider how more great ideas can help us achieve a home we can live in and love. But for now, please say hello to Frugal Mommas.

Cool ideas! Okay, not in love with the pink staircase but I can understand why she took the route she did. Love the linoleum floor. I saw Sarah Richardson do something similar with that flooring but she did bright and fun stripes. Great link ups today!

LOL, Nancy. It seems folks have a love/hate relationship with the pink staircase. I was just thinking about how nice linoleum would feel underfoot in the basement. If I can ever convince the guys to rip up the carpet, I might give it a go in the food nook area. Thanks for stopping by! Love having you visit.
