April is always a great month for furniture. I don’t know why exactly.
It could be because people are cleaning out the stash that’s built up over the winter. Or maybe the warm weather triggers the itch to paint something.
Truth is, we just don’t know why people paint more pieces in April.
We’re just glad they do. 🙂
Your hosts for the week.

CONGRATS TO OUR FEATURES:
In case you’re new to the link party scene, here’s how it works. Each week, each of the co-hosts will pick their favorite link and these will be featured.
Lucy loved the yellow chest by Linda from Q is for Quandie. Isn’t it just totally April fresh?
Lucy also loved this cabinet makeover by Tammy from The Tattered Rabbit. The springtime flowers are like a breath of fresh air. Wouldn’t you agree?
Melanie loved this wardrobe by Vintage Refined. Isn’t it amazing?
Melanie also loved this minty chest by Marie from Interior Frugalista. This color is so popular right now. Have you painted something this color yet?
And, of course, I loved them all. LOL. But I had to narrow it down to just two. I readily admit that laboring over the choice was agony. But these two pieces were special for different reasons.
Danielle from Finding Silver Pennies refinished the top with stain, brushed paint on and then distressed the bottom, and finished the piece by highlighting with a metallic. All of the work and colors work together so beautifully. It’s truly a complete makeover.
In contrast, Patricia from The Wood Spa got this amazing result by using spray paint in a can. She did use a glaze that was brushed on and wiped away. Then, as a final coat, sealed the chest with spray polycoat. I hope this beautiful piece inspires you to try different techniques and products. With the great products at the home improvement stores, we don’t have to own an expensive paint sprayer to get a beautiful finish.
