Lately there’s been a lot of chatter on the internet about Christmas decor. For some, Christmas is all about showcasing the latest hot trend. Go through their home tours and there’s absolutely nothing red or green. And a poinsettia? Forget it!
But for others, Christmas is about nostalgia. It’s about mixing vintage, old-fashioned, and hot trends together. And, at least for this year, I am one of these people. For example, in the outdoor home tour, a vintage clock with red letters replaced a wreath on the chimney. And to create a zap of old Christmas flavor, the clock was paired with bright red poinsettias on the mantel.
Old Fashioned Christmas with Frugal Mommas
At the base of the fireplace, vintage games were stacked on top of a table made from an antique box and a glass top. And the accessories are a mix of modern, woodlands, old-fashioned, and vintage.
