Welcome to Friday’s Furniture Fix,

Are you surprised to see that it’s Hello Kitty week at The Fix?  Well, furniture refinishers far and wide will tell you they’d be nothing without their trusty side kicks. So… to honor all of our sweet fur baby helpers…..Saaaaaalute!

Before we get to our wonderful linkups for the week…..I must share some news.

We are sad to announce that one of our hosts, Melanie, had to leave us.  But with two store fronts, a refinishing business, and three sweet sons, her time is limited.  So we wish Melanie much happiness and all the best moving forward.  Farewell Melanie…..You will always be in our hearts.

What’s next for The Fix?

Lucy and I are in survival mode until the end of July.  But during this time, we are making some changes to improve our  weekly party.  Our goal to bring you more exposure, showcase great pieces, and share new products and techniques remains.  We just think we can do it in a more fun and efficient way.  If you have ideas you’d like to see, please leave a comment.  We love to hear from you.

In the meantime, we’d love to have you follow us on social media.

And last, Joan from Scavenger Chic builds a headboard and inserts tin pieces for extra texture. Her tutorial is so detailed…..Kitty took one look and gave it a paws up.  Seriously…..paws up.  ðŸ™‚

I am kind of late checking emails so when I opened this one up did I get a shock to see Andy! Boy did I have a laugh. Thank you so much to featuring the piece and Andy.

Thanks for hosting Susie. I love the matt light blue table with the pieces of coral and shell on the surface which brings me the feeling of the sea. Love hosting post like yours.
