Seasonal decorating is tough for me.

I like a no fuss, no muss approach that is inexpensive and easy.

I also like the seasonal colors to work with my regular decor…

…which is….

…at least in the main living areas….

classic….organic….and comfortable.

Using a little pop of color in some flowers and a plate…

I finally pulled together a tablescape that I absolutely love…

And, best of all…

I used decorating items that I already had.

For Easter, I’ll give it a 5-minute tweak…

..and I’m good to go.

No fuss.

No muss.

No extra time.

And …no after-the-holiday storage.

To get this party started…

clear out the clutter.

IMG_1765Then lay out your table runner…..if you are using one.

I used a Ralph Lauren linen napkin that was set on an angle to the table.

Then.. these little beauties were dropped into the corner pockets.

In the other corners are simple architectural pieces.

Extending the centerpiece runner to include place settings was also easy.

Two more oversized napkins fit perfectly.

How do you like the diagonal?  Kind of a throwback to the harlequin years.

The stoneware is a mix and match from pieces collected at clearance counters.

The colors are white, soft sage green, and soft blue.

Easter colors by description, but not quite so vibrant.

The flatware and the crystal stems are from a formal china set.

I love the crystal, linen, pottery, and rust!

Opposites.

I think they really do attract….

🙂

When it’s time to convert to Easter…

just bring on the bunnies.

But only two…

…one here.

IMG_1822

…at the end of this side of the table…

and the other….

at the other end of the table.

And…..Voila!

Spring turned Easter in the shake of two bunnies’ tails.

Then….

on Easter Sunday morning…

this can be added in the middle of the centerpiece.

Seriously..

you just drop it in between the pieces that are already there.

And…the day after Easter…

What’s to put away?

 …One cross…

and

…two bunnies.

What a joy…

…in so many ways.

Until next time,

Happy tablescaping,

Suz
